Beyond the client check

Inspections test more than the client check.

Supervisors expect firms to maintain a current risk assessment, effective policies and controls, appropriate staff training and records showing how AML obligations are actually carried out.

JUSTE keeps those obligations visible, attributable and current — instead of leaving them scattered across documents, inboxes and individual memory.

Risk assessment out of date — Built from your practice and flagged before review is due.
Policy not acknowledged — Acknowledgement tracked by person and policy version.
Training not evidenced — Completion and attendance recorded against the relevant staff member.
Supervision unclear — Decisions retain the rule applied, any override, the reason and the approver.
Access no longer appropriate — Role, scope, personal-data access and offboarding remain visible controls.
Onboarding left incomplete — Outstanding work stays in the queue with a named owner until it is resolved.
Codified controls

Nothing depends on anyone remembering.

Every person carries their own controls

Role, reporting line, scope, access to personal data, policy acknowledgements and training requirements are recorded against each designated staff member — so the MLRO can see exactly who is in scope and what remains outstanding.

JUSTE follows up automatically

Outstanding acknowledgements, training and assigned actions generate reminders automatically. The MLRO sees the exceptions without having to chase routine administration manually.

Exceptions remain attributable

If someone is deliberately out of scope, a control is overridden, or a step is skipped, the reason is recorded against the person, decision and policy context rather than disappearing as an unexplained gap.

One readiness score, with the detail underneath

Partners can see the firm’s current AML administration position at a glance. MLROs can drill into the controls behind the score. Each designated staff member can see exactly what they personally need to complete.

The policy underneath it

Build the policy. Approve it. Then run it.

JUSTE helps turn your firm’s risk assessment and AML policy from static documents into operating rules. The firm remains responsible for reviewing, approving and owning the final policy; JUSTE then uses those approved rules as guardrails for screening, classification and controls.

Step one

Drafted from your practice

Start from your services, client base and geographies to create a personalised ML/TF risk assessment and AML/CTF policy for your firm.

Step two

Reviewed, approved and owned by you

You review, edit and finalise the draft before it becomes your codified policy. Responsibility for the policy stays with your firm, with independent review available where you choose to use it.

Step three

Deployed as operating guardrails

The approved policy becomes the codified guardrails that shape screening, classification, escalation and control behaviour across the platform.

When the inspection comes

The evidence already exists, because it was never assembled separately.

Preparing for an inspection should not mean reconstructing months or years of AML administration from email, spreadsheets and memory. JUSTE captures the evidence as a by-product of doing the work, so the record is already there when you need it.

Questions

What MLROs and partners ask.

What does an AML inspection look for beyond the client check?

Supervisors expect firms to maintain a current risk assessment, effective policies and controls, appropriate staff training, supervision and records showing how AML obligations are actually carried out. JUSTE keeps those obligations visible, attributable and current.

What is the audit-readiness score?

A single percentage built from codified controls that each pass, fall due or fail. A partner sees the firm's inspection position at a glance; a team member sees exactly what they personally owe.

Does this replace our MLRO?

No. JUSTE automates routine administration such as reminders, status tracking and evidence capture so the MLRO can focus more time on review, judgement, escalation and supervision.

We have no proper policy yet.

JUSTE helps create a personalised ML/TF risk assessment and AML/CTF policy from your services, clients and geographies. You review, edit and own the final policy, which can then be deployed as codified guardrails across screening and controls.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most firms are screening on the same day. Building out the full control set — team scope, acknowledgements, training cycles — is usually a matter of days rather than weeks, and the readiness score shows the progress as you go.

Does it work alongside our practice management system?

JUSTE integrates with Clio Manage, and an API is available for other systems. Reports return to the matter file while the governed AML record stays in JUSTE for supervision and storage.

The independent expert layer

Credentialed expertise shouldn’t end in a PDF.

Running an AML function without a compliance department doesn’t mean running it alone. You build, own and codify your policy yourself — JUSTE makes sure what you own is actually executed, instead of filed away in a drawer. And when you choose to, an independent, ACAMS-accredited expert is there: for the recommended annual 4-eye audit, for EDD cases, or when a supervisor asks questions.

Independent

Accredited review

An ACAMS-accredited AML expert validates your risk logic, challenges assumptions and signs off on the substance — with their own professional judgment, on their own terms. The independence is what gives the sign-off its weight.

Reachable

EDD when it’s needed

For high-risk cases, source-of-funds work or a difficult classification, the same expert can be engaged on the individual matter — expertise your team can reach for without carrying it full-time.

Familiar

Continuity when questions come

Because they reviewed your policy, an expert who already knows your framework can support you if a supervisor or audit raises questions — no briefing a stranger from scratch in the moment that matters most.

Arm’s length

No commission, ever

You engage and pay the expert directly. JUSTE doesn’t intermediate, take a commission, or appear in the engagement — which is exactly what protects the independence, and the weight, of the sign-off.
